Tasting 24 samples totally blind in December 2020, you can find more here. All notes except the very last few sentences are written before reveal. Disclaimer: These are all very small drams, around 1.5-2 cl each, so doing a proper tasting is challenging. I'll do my best!
1.2 (Chestnut)
Nose
Up front - some light peat. Peppery, herbal, marmalade. perfume. Springbank, is that you?
Palate
Medium peat. A little metallic. Grassy but with some sweet toffee notes.
Finish
Metallic, full, smoky. Dried tea and tutti frutti candy.
Weird, fun - for a little while. Could have been a Springbank on the nose but then turned a bit too metallic. No idea.
Reveal: I've had a predecessor ("Svensk rök") before and wasn't a big fan, but this version is a step up.
Check out my other advent tastings!
